Summer is going way to fast

Well it's the 26th of Aug. ...... The first day of school. Jordan was really nervous about her first day as a soph. at Mt. Crest. She got up early and spent alot of time getting ready. She looked very cute. She road to school with one of my friends son, Ty Parkinson. She didn't want to ride the bus for fear she wouldn't look cool!!! She will kill me for saying that.

The last few months have been spent at the ball field. Her Mystique team ended their career by winning the last 3 tourns. that they played. It has been a great group of girls, and coaches and I'm sad to see it end. I will try and post some pictures later

I have a new great nephew that arrived in July. He is the son of Brady and Kelsey Bobka. He is very very cute and he will be named Baine. He has alot of dark hair, and dimples!!

Busy Feb.2010

Well I usually have alot of home improvement jobs for myself during the winter months. It's when I do my painting (walls that is)! But, this year our month has been pretty full with other things. Jordan started open gym for softball. That means her schedule is as follows. Mon. Volleyball practice 6-8pm. Tues. YW, then private volleyball instruction 9-10pm Wed. softball 6-8, thurs. volleyball 6-8, friday softball 6-8. With this schedule her Dad is gone with her to help with softball or giving rides to volleyball. Needless to say, she isn't getting into much trouble.

Also the first week of Feb. we got the privledge to have our neighbors let their 3 oldest children stay with us for a week. Jaxon, Alisa, and Carson May. We had a blast. Our house was noisey and we loved it. There are such great kids, and so well behaved. I was sad to see their parents come home!! By the way their parents Dan and Niki went on a cruise with Niki's parents and siblings.

On Feb. 15th we moved our washer and dryer into our remodeled laundry room. It is so great. I burned up our dryer so now I have a new dryer and laundry room. I just need the cabinets ordered, but I first have to get my nephew Brady to build them.

My Dad had angioplasty and a stent placed also this month. He is feeling much better now. He is having trouble getting his meds regulated right now, but over all is doing better.

My Brother Brooks had his gallbladder out the 11th. He is doing much better, thanks goodness. He was really hurting.

I had a physical myself, and my complaints were that I'm tired, fat, and having muscle weakness, and the response to these complaints were well your 49!! Bummer I guess that means I will have to get back on my fitness regimen.
I think part of my fatique is due to my church job (RS Pres) and that we lost one of our nurses in the office, so I have been working extra. My pay check looks really good though.

I had to give the RS lesson on the 21st. My subject was Prayer. It turned out good, but it was short, so we got out 5mins early. But better early then late.

The Olympics have been on the past 2 weeks. I love watching them. I have tried to spend every minute that I can in front of the TV. I have recorded a bunch to, so I will be watching it for a little while.

Well thats Feb.2010 in review!

Well, again I am having alot of pressure from my sister-inlaw. But then again if she didn't kick me in the butt to do it I wouldn't.

Let's see what has happened.
Christmas: We had a great time this year. I was much better then usual. (I really don't like Christmas). About 2 weeks before the day, I had all my shopping done and the tree up. At that point I started enjoying the season. Once the first $1000.00 bucks are spent theres no need to panic about how your going to pay for it!!!! Just throw out the card!!!.
Christmas eve was spent with my Parents over for dinner. We had our traditional meal. BBQ babyback ribs, with twice baked potatoes and fresh green beans. But the best part are the homemade rolls. We had truffel for dessert. Afterwards we went upstairs and played Yahtzee( my mothers favorite game) Glade got yahtzee twice in one game. We all laughed til we couldn't breath. This is one of my favorite things about Christmas, is Christmas eve with my parents.
On Christmas morning we were up around 8am. Jordan had pretty much guessed all of her gifts. So to throw her off a little I made her do a scavenger hunt for her new 32" flat screen. This entertained her a little. We also go a wii, so we spent alot of time playing that in the am. At 1:00 we went to the Maughans and had our family party. Again we had a great time. Glades sister Janice had made a relay game where we had to put on a Santa costume, yell ho ho and then take it back off then run back for the next team member to do the same thing. I have got to say that the old folks (my age) beat the youngins.
For Christmas night we pulled our mattresses off our beds and all slept in the big room by the big TV and the Christmas tree. We had a blast. We didn't make our beds for 3 days. We layed on our mattresses, played the wii and just hang out. Glade didn't even snore to bad, so Jordan slept good. I'm use to his snoring by now. Besides I can sleep through pretty much anything. It is during the week between Christmas and New Years that I really like. House is a mess, but thats how it should be. And no pressure.

For New Years, Glade and I along with the Baileys and Leishmans went to Wendover for a Restless Heart concert. We stayed over night and came home around 2pm on New Years. We had a great time and it felt good to be out of town for the holiday.

Well I think I've done pretty good today with writing this long. I must admit it feels good.

For the the next post I will let you in on Jordans super busy schedule with school, volleyball and now softball starting.

Well, I've been getting some peer pressure from my family again, so I guess I will write something. I need to figure out how to post photos also, but I don't have time today. I'm at work so I better take care of my patients before to long!!
To update you. On Sept. 10th Jordan and Glade packed up the camper, 4 wheelers, and pretty much to whole house and headed to the Wyoming wilderness to hunt antelope. Jordan drew out her first hunt ever. They left about 5pm that night. By 10 the next morning she had her trophy! She did hunt around a bit before she saw this one. She was very excited and other then sitting on a cactus she had an amazing time. She and her dad debated whether to come home after that or stay for another night. But since it was blowing 100mph and they were out in the middle of nowhere sitting in the camper staring at each other they decided to just come home. So all that packing was pretty much a waste, but the hunt was soooo worth it! I will post photos of the trophy later.

Ready, Set, Goooooo!

Well, I'm finally doing it. I've caught the blog train and I'm going with it. I'm not at all good at journaling and hopefully this will help me do better. My sister in-law has been trying to get me going with this so I hope she is happy!!!
I will try and download photos to make this more fun but for right now it is past my bedtime and I'm going to sleep!
